took me forever to find the name of this plant "senna didymobotrya"
i had never seen anything like it before i found it growing in a large, mixed container on a street in a small town in france. it grows up to 6 feet tall, and is actually more of a shrub. observe the black buds at the top of the spike - it's really a striking looking flower!
