Deviation Actions
sometimes photos i post look so great on my computer, but really lose something when i upload them to dA or other sites.
take the inflight photos of the landscapes and storms i just submitted - why do they look so good at home (even the small file i make to upload), yet dull on here?
i wonder if increasing the color saturation and contrast on the uploadable versions would bring them back to what they look like at home - or if that would only increase the noise?
anyone else have this problem?
any suggestions?
sigh.

New dA Account
I just made a dA account for my grandmother, Esther McGraw. I've been scanning a lot of her drawings and photographs lately, and thought it would be nice for her to get some new recognition. She really was good! Check her out at http://esthermcgraw.deviantart.com
dA Design Program?
dA came out with a design or drawing program a while ago - anyone remember what it was called? and if you have any experience using it - did it work well?
facebook frenz
anyone want to connect on facebook with me?
only people who are already interacting with me here, please :)

deviation in storage (mystery solved)
EDIT: oh well... figured this one out (sort of) by looking at the FAQs and searching keyword "storage" since it wasn't in any of the listed FAQs - anyway... it's an option under management of deviations, so yeah, it's done by the artist themselves, to hide something without actually deleting it. hrm... not sure why someone would want to do that, but hey, different strokes for different folks :)
here's the link: FAQ #307: https://www.deviantart.com/help/307 - What is the Deviation Storage Tool, and how do I access it? Can I temporarily hide deviations?:
what does deviation in storage mean? i keep looking through my old faves, and finding several of them have been "stored" away. the interesting thing (other than where the heck is "storage"), is that you can't click on them

CMYK are the settings used by printers. Hence the difficulty getting a perfect match between what you see on a screen and a printout.
